Air on the map
By Millesime Labs
The Atmotube PRO 2 colors the map by PM2.5, PM10, the VOC index, or the NOx index. PM colors follow the WHO 2021 24-hour levels.
air
The Atmotube PRO 2 stores air readings with a position. On the map, the Air layer colors those readings. PM2.5 is the default. You can also color by PM10, the VOC index, or the NOx index.
Particles
PM2.5 and PM10 use the WHO 2021 guideline levels and interim targets for the 24-hour mean. A spot reading is not a daily mean. The color places the value. It does not judge it.
PM2.5, in micrograms per cubic metre, changes color at 15, 25, 37.5, 50, and 75. PM10 changes at 45, 50, 75, 100, and 150. A value above the last step is the top band.
The six bands, from the cleanest, are:
- WHO guideline level
- Interim target 4
- Interim target 3
- Interim target 2
- Interim target 1
- Above interim target 1
VOC and NOx
The VOC index and the NOx index have no health guideline. Both run from 1 to 500.
For VOC, 100 is the average composition of the past 24 hours. Above 100 there are more volatile compounds. Only that 100 comes from the sensor's scale. The later steps, 150, 200, 300, and 400, are display steps.
For NOx, 1 is the average of the past 24 hours. A NOx event rises above it. Only that 1 comes from the sensor's scale. The later steps, 50, 100, 200, and 300, are display steps, not health thresholds.
The legend on the map names the scale in use, and it says where the numbers come from.
