Tiles

The field is a grid of 4 m squares. The counter, the arrow, and the small map use that grid.

The field is covered by squares 4 m on a side. A square that crosses the outline is cut to it. The grid covers the whole parcel.

What you see

At the top left, the counter reads like 12 of 48 tiles: seen squares over every square of the clipped grid. A cut cell is counted once.

Along the bottom, an arrow and the distance lead to the nearest tile still unseen. Outside the outline, a red mark gives the distance.

At the bottom right, a small map shows the same grid, north up, with your position. Tiles still to see are half filled.

Where the picture lands

Phone GPS is accurate to about 3 to 5 m, for 4 m tiles. The tile aimed at is the one your position and direction name on the grid. Sometimes a neighbouring tile clears instead of the one you meant.

A seen square is pine green, a photographed square a lighter green, a square with an alert red, and unseen ground stays pale. The map and the 3D view use the same colors, in light and in dark.
